SPSDC Students Discover the UPM-SAT 3 Project

Students from the Spanish Space Design Competition (SPSDC) recently had the opportunity to explore the UPM-SAT 3 satellite project at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM). This visit provided an in-depth look at the development and mission of this cutting-edge nanosatellite.

During the visit, the students were guided by David González, a key figure in the UPM-SAT 3 project. He explained the intricate engineering and technological advancements that go into designing and deploying a satellite of this nature.

The Role of UPM-SAT 3 in Space Research

UPM-SAT 3 is a technological demonstration satellite developed by the Technical University of Madrid. It is designed to test and validate new technologies in space, making it a crucial step in the advancement of satellite engineering.

The students gained valuable insights into satellite communication, materials engineering, and mission control. They were also given a hands-on demonstration of some of the instruments used in the project.
